The Process

My main aim for couples is to ensure a smooth and enjoyable process from beginning to end.

The very first thing I do is check that I am available for your wedding date. Once confirmed I will ask you the following questions....

Name of venue

This will ensure that it is within a reasonable travel distance for delivery and set up of your cake. I will liaise with the venue coordinator on the run-up to your day thus taking that stress off your hands.

Number of guests day and evening

This will allow me to understand how many servings you will likely need.
The style of your wedding décor and any ideas you may already have for the cake design and flavours.

Although I aim to learn more about your personal style during the consultation, it is good for me to learn a little in advance as it will spark my imagination on design ideas.

Your budget

This will give me some idea of styles I can work with to maximise the wow factor in the design choices and send you and estimated quote based on all the information you have provided.

Next steps..... Securing your date!

Once you are happy to go ahead and start creating your dream cake I require a £100 booking fee. This will ensure that I do not take on any other orders for that week and I will be exclusively working on your creation.
The booking fee will be redeemed against the final cost of your cake and you will be invited for an in person c
onsultation (Fondant designs only) and you get to sample some flavours.

The option of a zoom call is also available if travel is difficult and your taster box will be posted.

During the consultation we discuss everything in more detail and I will show you some ideas that I may have, based on the information you initially provided. From there we design your dream cake.

Following the consultation I will email you to confirm details we've discussed and send you a sketch of your creation which can be tweaked or adjustments made as necessary.
Once finalised I send a confirmation email of all details for you to double check and confirm.

6 weeks before delivery I will send you a reminder to pay the remaining balance so you don't have to worry about remembering, I will also be liaising with the florist and or wedding planner (if applicable), the venue wedding coordinator and anyone else that will ensure a smooth transition on the day.

Lastly The Big Day!!

The day of your wedding I deliver your cake along with a flavour sheet for the kitchen.
I set up the cake, style it as planned and add any last finishing touches. The cake then awaits its big moment to be cut and enjoyed by all!

THE PROCESS

Every cake I create is designed to the specification of the client, therefore I unfortunately cannot provide a set price list.
I will however with your help design you a cake that will reflect your style and theme and as such the time and materials used will have baring on the overall price.
I do understand that a wedding almost always has a budget and therefore I provide below a starting guide price to make this process a little easier to envision.
Prices are based on round cakes and the flavours from the classic range for 2023-2024.
The cakes will come with a covering of white or dark chocolate ganache, white icing and resting on an iced board with ribbon and sharp modern edges of the icing.
Decorations such as flowers, mouldings, painted effects etc will all increase the price.

Delivery and set up not included below but will be included in the quote once we have discussed your design in more detail.

Q & A's
Q & A's

How soon should I order my wedding cake? We recommend getting in touch with us as soon as you have booked your venue, this is usually a year in advance. I only focus on one wedding cake a week taking on a limited number of wedding bookings a year so my diary can bet booked quite quickly, particularly in peak wedding season.

How much does a wedding cake cost? The cost will depend on a number of factors including how many tiers, flavours, and how many hours are involved in creating your cake. For more information please see 'Prices' under the Information tab,

What size cake will I need? Ultimately, a wedding cake can be any size you want it to be! Usually, the size is guided by the number of guests, the number of the portions required and whether the cake is being served as a plated dessert or later in the day. This will be discussed in detail during your design consultation.

I love the look of a very tall cake but I dont want any cake wastage.... This isnt a problem as you can opt for one or two dummy tiers which are polystyrene cakes that are iced and decorated along with the rest of the cake. Nobody will ever know except the kitchen! Alternatively opt for all cake and freeze the remaining leftovers to look forward to after your honeymoon!

Can we have more than one flavour? and can we use fresh flowers? Yes absolutely, I highly recommend having multiple flavours for your guests to delight over. Fresh flowers are often safely used for wedding cakes and we can discuss options at your consultion.

Can I try some of the flavours? Once you have booked the date with me and attend a consultation when we get to go over all your requirements you can either try them at the consultation or have them in boxes to take away. For couples that cannot attend I am happy to post them. There is also an option to buy a box before booking at a cost of £25 which is deductable against the cost of your cake.

Do you supply cake stands? Not at this time due to a lack of storage. I will however advise you on an ideal stand and help source one if you need it.

Do you make wedding favours? Yes, I make bespoke wedding biscuits and bespoke chocolate bonbons, Please enquire during the consultion or by messaging me to find out more.
